A very nice Hi Utsuri. It has a few
black spots, but this Koi has wonderful shape, colour, and Sumi.

This Shiro Utsuri belongs to a friend of
mine. It resides in his 1500 gallon pond, and needs a bigger home!
This Koi won Grand Champion at the 1997 dealers Show at Telford.
Frame and shape are excellent. White skin is very good, and Sumi
is excellent. It also has a wonderful pattern. Motoguro is good
and balanced in both pectorals. A very attractive Koi, that would
appreciate a pond where it didn't have to be physically turned around
in the pond each day! <grin>

This Kohaku is attractive, but I bought
it as a two year old in 1998 at 48cm. It has not grown well. Skin
is good, Hi quality is wonderful to the point that the scales
don't show at all! Frame or Jitai (bone structure) isn't good,
so this Koi will never ever get big.

This is a very attractive Showa. It is also
friendly. He is still growing, but is now finished. It is slim,
and the bone structure dictates that it will stay that way.
